***UPDATE 11-10-09***
Timmy broke his left, front leg while on a homevisit with potential adopters.
He slipped on a tile floor and broke both bones.  We are asking for
donations to help pay for the $3000 surgery to have Timmy's leg plated.

Tiny Timmy is a five month old mixy guy fom a shelter in Kansas.  He is a
parvo survivor (which is pretty darn awesome in our books!) and is now
healthy and ready for his new family!

Timmy is a teeny little guy, and we're not convinced that he has any italian
greyhound in him at all.  We really think he's a chihuahua/possibly min pin
mix.  But he's exceptionally outgoing and friendly, very much housetrained,
and gets along well with other small dogs.  He does very well in the car and
likes to go places and see people!  He's very eager to please and loves to
snuggle under your chin.  He's quiet and very, very sweet.

Timmy would do best in a home with limited access to small children simply
because he's so tiny and could easily squeak out of an open door or gate.
He would make an ideal apartment or condo dog.  As with all of our dogs, he
will need a coat in the winter to keep him warm.  Timmy is just a teeny little
doll!!

This is Cashew!  He is a chinese crested/italian greyhound mix that came to
Wiseguys from a rescue in Kansas.

Cashew is approximately three years old, neutered, and current on shots.
He does very well on leash and with other small dogs.

Cashew has short hair on top of his head, and on the end of his tail, but is
otherwise entirely hairless.  He will need weekly baths, and has to wear
jammies pretty much round the clock in order to stay warm!  He likes to sleep
in bed under the covers, and his favorite thing of all is an old tennis ball!
His new family must agree to keep his tennis ball and be willing to throw it a
lot!  :)

Cashew would do better in a home without small children or cats.  However,
he would make an ideal companion for someone in an apartment or condo.
As with ANY sighthound or sighthound mix, Cashew cannot EVER be allowed
off-leash outside of a fenced area.  He will need a home with a 6ft fence,
simply because he's quite athletic, or an apartment/condo.
Cashew

Now I don't know about you, but we here at Wiseguys ADORE easy going,
housetrained dogs!   Nothing makes us smile like a dog who loves to watch
tv (and we mean actually watch it!) and who sticks to us like glue.

And that describes Ricky to a T!!!

Ricky is a seven year old baby with a personality like no other!  This little guy
is SO happy to sit on the couch with you, play fetch, and stretch out in the
grass!  His mellow attitude would be PERFECT for someone in an
apartment or condo!  In fact, Ricky rarely makes a peep, making him perfect
for those with close neighbors!

Ricky would like a family who wants a true buddy to sleep in bed with them.
He would need a 6ft fence if his new family has a yard, but again, would be
perfectly happy with an urban loft!

Ricky also does great with cats! So if you truly want an extremely loveable
buddy to share your life (and bed!), please let us know!

Please meet Minnie Pearl and Buck Owens!!  They were abandoned by a
puppymiller and are now looking for their new lives!!

Minnie and Buck are very close, and we believe Minnie may be his mom.
Minnie is about six years old, and Buck is approximately two.  Both are
very, very friendly, love people food and watching tv on the couch!  They
are small iggies with HUGE personalities!

Buck is neutered and current on shots, and Minnie will be spayed very soon.
They are doing very, very well with crate training, don't mind cats, and
absolutely adore other igs!

If you are interested in meeting this HeeHaw duo, please drop us a line!
Minnie & Buck

This is Jack!  He is being fostered in Arizona with a Wiseguys IG Rescue
volunteer. He's loving, sweet and loves attention, acting more like a big
happy lab than an Iggy!  His tail has not stopped wagging since he
arrived. He will make an amazing companion. He is neutered and had a
dental and lost some small teeth. He has a lovely white & red coat which is
very soft!

He loves the other dogs, and would probably be happiest with another
mellow dog as a companion, but would be a happy "only dog" too if his
person was around to spend lots of time with him.  He LOVES
riding in the car.

Jack is COMPLETELY housetrained and does wonderfully with a doggie
door!

Jack is ready to go to his new family and new life!
Jack

Buster is a wonderfully affectionate dog that requires a strong leader. We
think he may have a little whippet in his gene pool, as he has some
slight brindling on his side. He is eager to please and just wants to spend
time with you. He wants lots of love and will ask for it.  He loves to go for
walks and has nice leash manners as long as you require it of him.
He gets along with other dogs and plays with toys.

He uses a dog door and has not had any potty accidents in the house, but
will probably mark in his new home once or twice while getting
adjusted to a new routine.  He tolerates being crated and knows his
designated place to sleep but would love to sleep in bed with you.

Buster barks at bicycles and skateboards, we're not sure if it's fear or
excitement, but we will not place him in a home with small children.
Buster had some deeper tumors removed and the vet is confident they got
all of the tumors out and he does not need further treatment unless
they return.

Buster was also diagnosed hypothyroid (probably why he's so chubby!) and
is now on thyroid medication which costs about $10/month. This will also
need to be monitored.

Buster is a sweet, loving, joyful dog.   He is ready to meet you and start a
new life with someone who appreciates his happy face and sweet demeanor.

COLORADO FOSTER DOGS
ARIZONA FOSTER DOGS
Please note....
We currently have volunteers in Colorado, Arizona, Illinois, and
Oklahoma.  You will see that we have our available dogs listed by
state.  In most cases, those dogs will need to stay in the state in
which they are being fostered.  However, on occasion we are
willing to adopt out of state.  We do NOT ship dogs, so if you are
interested in a dog from another state, please let us know and we
can give you some ideas for getting your new best friend to you!
We are also happy to refer you to a rescue in your area if you need
contact information for them!

This is Checkers!  He was adopted and sadly, returned to rescue.  But we're
happy to have him back, and now he's looking for his new family!

Checkers is just under two years old, does very well on-leash, and does well
with kids.  He may or may not do well with cats, depending on the cats!  He's
crate trained and used to living in a condo.  He gets along well with other
dogs.  He's been doing great with housetraining since he's been back in
rescue and likes routine when it comes to that.

Checkers is a big boy at approximately 21 pounds, and loves to sleep in bed!
He is neutered and current on shots.
Timmy!
Checkers
Gizzy!
This is Gizzy!  She is nine years old, and ended up in a local
shelter after her owner suffered an injury and could no longer
care for her.

Gizzy is spayed and current on shots.  She is as quiet as a
mouse, but LOVES people food!  She's a tiny little girl.  She
enjoys watching tv while sitting on someone's lap.

Gizzy gets along really well with other igs, and does
exceptionally well with housetraining.  She will go to the door
and bark to be let out.  She does wonderfully in the car and on
leash.

Gizzy would make a wonderful dog for an apartment or condo.
This is Chance!

He's three years old and is a tall lanky boy!  Chance does exceptionally
well with housetraining and is great around older kids.  He likes chewies,
does great with crate training, and likes to play with other dogs.

Because Chance is so long-legged, he will need a 6ft fence or a
condo/apartment home where he goes out on leash.  He's very
affectionate and quiet, preferring quiet loves to lots of rowdy action!

If you would be interested in meeting this tall, dark, and handsome young
guy, drop us a line!
Chance
A video of Timmy in action!
Thomas
This is Thomas!  He is eight years old, and ended up in a local shelter
after his owner suffered an injury and could no longer care for him.

Thomas is neutered and current on shots.  He loves to sleep in bed
under the covers.  He has a "job" and takes it very seriously.  He
likes to lick your legs dry when you get out of the shower!

Thomas is very average sized at about 12 pounds..  He watching tv
while sitting on someone's lap.

Thomas gets along really well with other igs, and does exceptionally
well with housetraining.  He will go to the door and paw at it to be let
out.  He does wonderfully in the car and on leash.

Thomas would make a wonderful dog for an apartment or condo.
Frank Sinatra
This is Frank Sinatra!  He is one of the tiniest igs we've ever had in
rescue.  He is approximately two years old, neutered, and current on
shots.

Frank LOVES people food and likes to play.  He gets along really well
with other igs and small dogs.  Frank would do best in a home
without very small children as he's a bit more fragile due to his size.
He would make a great dog for going to work with you!  He has lots
of personality in a tiny package!

Frank is crate trained and doing well with housetraining!
Peter Lawford
This is Peter Lawford!  He's approximately two years old, neutered
and current on shots.

Peter is a slightly larger ig.  He gets along well with other igs and
small dogs.  He has not been cat or child tested, but we're open to
having your kids and cats meet him to see how it goes!

Peter likes to play, is very sweet and calm for being only two years
old!  He'll need continued work with leash training, but is doing well
with housetraining.
Frank Sinatra
Joey Bishop
Joey Bishop is the comedian of the Wiseguys crew.  He can often be
found "talking" to his toys, and really giving them a beating!  He's a
sweet guy and provides lots of entertainment!

Joey is approximately two years old, neutered, and current on shots.
He'll need continued help with leash training, but does well with
housetraining.  he likes other small dogs and of course PLAYING!
He's crate trained and and very friendly.
Dean Martin
This is Dean Martin.  He's a true charmer and a very sweet little guy!
He's on the smaller side at about 10 pounds.  Dean (or Dino as he's
known) is approximately two years old, neutered and current on shots.

Dino gets along well with other small dogs and is crate trained.  He
likes treats and being petted.  He's a curious ig and would do best in
a home without small children, due to his small size.

Dino is looking for his forever home (but don't expect him to sing
"Volare"!!!)
This is Titus!  He is an eight year old, purebred italian greyhound.

Titus knows all sorts of tricks!  He can sit, shake, speak, roll over, play
dead, and hold a treat on his nose until you tell him its ok to toss it
down and eat it!!

Titus likes sleeping in bed and does well with other italian
greyhounds.  We think he might do well with other small breeds as
well.  He's a very sweet boy that can usually be found in someone's
arms as he likes to be held and cuddled.  Titus is a master tv watcher
and couch holder-downer!  He is calm and quiet though he likes to
play too!

He will need a home with a 6ft fence, or a home without a yard at
which he can go outside on leash.  He is used to living with several
small children, though we'd pefer to see him in a home without small
kids as he can escape through open doors very easily.  He would
make a great dog for someone with visiting grandchildren however!
He does great with housetraining!

Titus is neutered and current on shots and ready for his new family!!
Titus!
This is Scooby!  He was surrendered because he liked to play too
much with his owner's small service dog.

Scooby is eight years old and would love a family that can give him a
soft, cushy bed for daytime, lots of toys and treats, and would allow
him to sleep in bed at night!!

Scooby does great with housetraining and is used to being around
other small dogs.  He's not shy and likes people.  He would make a
great dog for someone in an apartment or condo, as he's very quiet
and calm.  He is also crate trained and knows how to "Sit".  He will
need a 6ft fence, or an owner that will take him out on leash.

Scooby is neutered, current on shots, and awaiting his new family!
Please drop us a line if you'd like to know more about him!
Scooby
Duke
This is Duke!  He's approximately 18mos old, neutered and
current on shots.

Duke sleeps under the covers, likes to play with other dogs,
and is quite the big baby!  He's a larger guy, though seems to
think of himself as a tiny guy!

Duke is very well-mannered, does very, very well with
housetraining.  He also does wonderfully in the car.  Duke will
need a six foot fence, or a home in an apartment where he
would go out on leash.

Duke does fine with other larger igs, or as a lone ranger!
This duo is Raleigh and Memphis!  They were abandoned at a gas
station, under a basket at the age of eight weeks.  They are now seven
months old, spayed, and ready for their new home!

They are very friendly, outgoing, and active and will be very small (they
are approx 8lbs right now).  We believe they may be
chihuahua/schipperke mixes, but cannot be sure.

We would like to keep them together, though we can split them up if
need be.  We believe they would be great with kids, though they haven't
been around any as of yet.
