| We at Wiseguys Italian Greyhound Rescue feel that volunteers are absolutely, positively the backbone of rescue. Without them, there would be no rescue of any kind!! We're ALWAYS searching (and shamelessly recruiting!) volunteers to help us help the IGs! We need volunteers who can help with the following.... FOSTERING - this is the toughest job you'll ever love! Foster families are our lifeblood, and mean so much to the IGs. As a foster family you'll be responsible for doing all of the wonderful things that go along with sharing your life with a dog! You'll be responsible for making those vet appointments and for helping your foster IG feel safe and loved! We cannot tell you how rewarding it is to foster and place an IG!!! COMMUNITY RELATIONS - this job is great for the party planners in all of us! As Community Relations, you'll enjoy the experience of talking to people outside of pet-related stores during our Meet & Greets, and generally promote the breed and specifically rescue! FUNDRAISING - Whether you make ceramic ashtrays or can convince your boss to hold a mustache growing contest, we're always in need of fundraisers to help with vet bills! This is simply a partial list of what you may find yourself involved in when you volunteer for Wiseguys Italian Greyhound Rescue. There are MANY duties that come up day-to-day and if you're up for having some fun, changing the lives of needy IG's, and meeting great people in the process...than COME ABOARD!!! Our Wishlist.... *Obedience classes *Crates (large size) *Comforters *Fleece fabric (for bellybands, coats, and *"take home" blankies *Leashes and martingale-style collars *Monetary donations (used ONLY for vet bills) *VOLUNTEERS!!!!!! |
